David N. Harris, Jr.
After graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2002, David served as an Intern to Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge John Roper of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He practiced law as an Associate Attorney in Gulfport, Mississippi with Bryant, Clark, Dukes & Blakeslee before joining his father, Judge D. Neil Harris, Sr. at D. Neil Harris and Associates, P.A. in Ocean Springs, Mississippi in 2005. David joined Corban - Gunn - Van Cleave Law Firm in 2007. David N. Harris, Jr. Law Firm, P.L.L.C. was formed in 2017.
David represents parties, both plaintiffs and defendants, in various litigated matters including estates, guardianships, personal injury, and probate matters. His work includes both the prosecution and defense of liability claims. David also represents businesses in business litigation matters including zoning and regulatory compliance, contract drafting disputes, casualty losses, and liability matters. In 20 years of practice on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, David has represented parties in the United States District Court in more than eighty (80) cases. These cases include personal injury, business litigation, governmental liability, admiralty, and copyright infringement matters.
David was selected to Rising Stars for 2011 - 2012. Selection is based on peer recognition and professional achievement in legal practice, and is limited to a small number of attorneys in each state. As one of the few attorneys in the State of Mississippi to garner the honorable distinction of Rising Stars, David has earned the respect of peers as one of the top-rated attorneys in the nation.
